Brain Tumors
Specialized Brain Tumor
As a clinical oncologist, I provide comprehensive, personalized treatment for primary and secondary (metastatic) brain tumors, including gliomas, meningiomas, pituitary tumors, and brain metastases from cancers such as lung, breast, or melanoma.
Working closely with neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiation oncologists, and palliative care, I offer a multidisciplinary approach combining:
Precision radiotherapy (e.g., stereotactic radiosurgery)
Chemotherapy and targeted therapies
Immunotherapy (where applicable)
Neurological and supportive symptom management
Understanding Brain Tumor
What is Brain Tumor?

Primary Brain Tumors:
Originate in the brain tissue. Examples include:
Glioblastoma (GBM) – aggressive and fast-growing
Astrocytomas, oligodendrogliomas – variable growth rates
Meningiomas – usually benign, arise from brain lining
Pituitary tumors – may affect hormones or vision
Medulloblastomas – more common in children
Secondary (Metastatic) Brain Tumors:
Start in other organs (e.g., lung, breast, kidney, melanoma) and spread to the brain. They are more common than primary brain tumors.
Common Signs & Symptoms:

Treatment Services I Provide

Chemotherapy
Standard protocols (e.g., temozolomide for glioblastoma)
Delivered orally or via IV, sometimes alongside radiation
Targeted Therapy & Immunotherapy
For tumors with actionable mutations (e.g., IDH1, MGMT, BRAF)
Immunotherapies used in select cases, especially in clinical trials
Radiotherapy
Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) – precise, high-dose radiation (e.g., Gamma Knife)
Whole-Brain Radiotherapy (WBRT) – for multiple metastases
Conformal or IMRT radiotherapy – tailored for primary tumors
Symptom control: seizures, swelling, cognitive decline
Referrals to neurosurgery or neuro-rehabilitation
Multidisciplinary team for functional and emotional support
