Breast Cancer

Specialized Breast Cancer Care

As a Clinical Oncologist, I offer comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for breast cancer — from early detection through survivorship. My treatment approach combines systemic therapies (chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted treatments) with precision radiotherapy, customized to each patient’s disease profile and personal needs.

I work in close collaboration with breast surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, genetic counselors, and support services to ensure timely diagnosis, tailored treatment planning, and continuity of care throughout the journey.

Understanding Breast Cancer

What is Breast Cancer?

Breast cancer arises when cells in the breast grow uncontrollably. It can develop in different parts of the breast, including the ducts and lobules. Early detection greatly increases the chances of successful treatment.

Common Signs & Symptoms:

How to Perform a Breast Self-Examination (BSE)

When to Examine:

Best time: 3–5 days after your period ends, when breasts are least tender.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. In Front of a Mirror:

  • Look for any changes in shape, size, skin texture, or nipple inversion.

2. Raise Arms Overhead:

  • Check for symmetry and any visible swelling or dimpling.

3. During Shower or Bath:

  • Use 3 fingers in a circular motion to gently palpate the entire breast and armpit area.

  • Follow a pattern: circular, up-down, or wedge.

  • Feel for any lumps or areas of thickening.

4. Lying Down:

  • Place a pillow under your shoulder. Use the opposite hand to examine your breast in the same circular motion.

What to Do If You Notice a Change:

  • Do not panic.

  • Schedule a clinical breast exam or mammogram with your oncologist or gynecologist immediately.

  • Early action saves lives.
